It is considered one of the easiest trekking peaks in Nepal, making it a perfect opportunity for beginner climbers to gain peak climbing experience. From the summit, one can enjoy stunning views of popular mountains such as Shishapangma (8,046m), Langtang Lirung (7,245m), Dorje Lakpa (6,990m), Naya Kanga Peak (5,844m), Gangchempo (6,387m), and many other snow-capped peaks.The journey to the Yala Peak climbing adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to SyabruBesi. You commenced your trek here, passing through dense forests of Rhododendron, Oaks, and Pines on our way to Kyangjin Gompa. You will walk through some of the beautiful villages of Langtang Valley, such as Syabru Besi, Lama Hotel, Langtang Village, and Kyanjin Gompa Village. Yala Peak is a non-technical and easy peak, so anyone with physical fitness and trekking experience can climb it. Does Yala Peak Climbing need a permit card? Yala peak is situated in the Langtang valley with an elevation of 5,500m is the only free of cost peak in Nepal. However, the mountain climbers of Yala peak are required to pay Langtang National Park entry fee and Tims card fee. Until 2011 it used to cost $250USD per head for a climbing permit. How to get to Yala Peak: Yala peak journey starts with a 7-8 hours of drive from Kathmandu to Syfru besi, which serves as the starting point of this trek. On the second day, you start our hike to Lama Hotel which will take around 6 hours. Through the dense forest of Bamboo along with Langtang Khola. On the Third day, Trekkers can trek up to Langtang village which will take around 6 hours. One fourth day, after having your breakfast you will head towards Kyanjin Gompa at the elevation of 3798m, which will take around 4 hours and the rest of the day you can explore the village. On your 5th day, trekkers can explore Tserko Ri Peak situated at the elevation of 4970m and it will take around 5-6 hours. This also helps your body to acclimatize for Yala peak climbing. On the 6th day, from Kyanjin Gompa it will be a 5-6 hours trek up to Yala Base camp. On the 7th day, Summit Yala peak which will take around 7-8 hours from Yala peak base camp. On the 8th day, all the way back to Langtang village which will take around 5 hours. On the 9th day, trek to lama hotel from langtang village. On the 10th day, trek to Syafrubesi from the Lama hotel along the Langtang khola. On the way, trekkers can enjoy spring water. On the 11th day, 6-7 hours drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu. Best Season to climb Yala Peak The best season to climb Yala Peak in Nepal is in the Spring and Autumn season.Spring (March to May): Spring is considered one of the best times for traveling and trekking in Nepal, including Yala Peak. During spring, the weather is warm and pleasant. The rhododendron forests along the trail are in full bloom, creating a colorful and picturesque atmosphere. The skies are clear with breathtaking mountain views. This season is also the best time for birdwatching, as many migratory birds return to Nepal in the spring season.Autumn (September to November): Similarly, autumn is also considered the best time for traveling and trekking in Nepal.
