Day 1
Drive to sundarijal (1hrs), Trek to Chisapani (2375m, 6hrs)
Our guide from Altitude Trails and Adventures will meet you at your hotel at 7:00 AM and brief you about the trip's details, duration, route, trek difficulty, and the accommodations provided in Chisapani. After having breakfast at the hotel, the entire team will drive to Sundarijal, which will take approximately 1 hour to reach. The trek will commence from Sundarijal at an elevation of 1350 meters. The 6-hour trek will lead you through Shivapuri National Park, with the trail being an uphill climb all the way up to Chisapani. The maximum elevation during the trek will be 2350 meters above sea level at Chisapani. Along the route, you will have the chance to observe the Bagmati River, the flora and fauna of Shivapuri National Park, the local villages, and the panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley. After passing through Mulkharka village, the trekking route becomes tranquil, and the possibility of encountering wild animals also increases. In Chisapani, weather permitting, you'll be greeted by breathtaking mountain views. The weather is typically clear during the Autumn and Spring seasons. In Chisapani, you will also have the opportunity to see the remains of buildings damaged by the 2015 earthquake.
Day 2
Trek to Nagarkot (2175m, 6hrs)
An early morning wake-up call will allow you to witness the spectacular sunrise over the mountain ranges. From Chisapani, you can marvel at the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang-Jugal, Gaurishankar, and Mahalangur mountain ranges. You'll also catch sight of the 8000-meter-plus peaks, including Mount Everest (8848.86 meters), the world's highest mountain, Mount Sishapangma (8027 meters), Mount Manaslu (8163 meters), and Mount Annapurna (8091 meters). Following breakfast, we will commence our trek to Nagarkot, one of the popular hill stations in the Kathmandu Valley. This day's trek is comparatively easier than the previous one. The route follows the Kathmandu Valley rim and the Manjushree Trail, leading up to Nagarkot. En route, you'll pass by the newly constructed Dhap Dam. Throughout the day, weather permitting, you'll have close-up views of the mountains. After about an hour of trekking, you'll exit Shivapuri National Park and descend to Jhule village. The trail then continues through Jarsing Pauwa and Kattike villages. After Kattike, the trail ascends towards Nagarkot.
Day 3
Trek to Changu Narayan (1600m, 5hrs), Drive to kathmandu (1.5hrs)
Trek to Changu Narayan, Drive to Kathmandu Similar to the previous day, you'll receive a wake-up call to witness the sunrise. After breakfast, you'll continue your trek to Nagarkot's view point. The view tower can be reached from the hotel within an hour. Spending around 30 minutes there, the team will resume the trek downhill towards Telkot. Along this route, you'll encounter the Bojine Dam and three waterfalls at Telkot. After Telkot, the trail leads to Changu Narayan via Trishul Danda. The ascent to Trishul Danda will take around 2 hours, followed by a gentle downhill descent towards Changu Narayan Temple. After visiting Changu Narayan Temple, you'll conclude the trek and drive back to Kathmandu.
