Mardi Himal is located in Kaski district of western Nepal. Mardi himal (peak)’s elevation is 5587m. It is one of the trekking peaks in Nepal which doesn’t require an additional climbing permit. The trekking trail of mardi himal starts at Kande (1 hrs drive from pokhara), goes all the way up to the Base camp of Mardi himal and ends at Sidhing village (4 hrs drive to pokhara). The whole trip duration of the trek is 11 days, in which the trekking duration is only 5 days. The trek is famous for its amazing landscape of villages, hills and mountains. The trek offers the best view of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6993m), Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Gangapurna (7455m)
Mardi Himal trek is an unseen gem untill now. Few trekkers make their way to the Mardi Himal Base Camp outstandingly positioned at the base of Mardi Himal and the Annapurna region´s most iconic and magnificient peak Machapuchhre also known as "Fish tail". The trail goes along small winding paths, through enchanted rhododendron forests until you climb out of the forest at an elevation around 3,300 meter. The landscape changes quite abruptly into a rugged high mountain landscape, with amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel
Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by our representative. After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc), pick up your luggage and look for our representative with the Altitude Trails & Adventures display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to your hotel, nearby Thamel as per your requirement. Thamel has great food from all over the world, fabulous shopping and Durbar square with its several temples and markets are nearby Thamel. Overnight at the hotel
Day 2
Trip preparation, meeting with guide
After breakfast, We will have a briefing session about the trip. Our guide will describe the trek, geographic structure, custom and traditions and about the daily events: trek duration, attractions and share other information. We will also assist you with the trekking gears and help you navigate around stores in Thamel to get them. After the preparation, we will do a little sightseeing around Kathmandu Durbar square and Thamel. If time permits, we will visit Pashupatinath temple to see aarati.
Day 3
Drive to Pokhara (7-8hrs)
There are two ways to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu: one by air and the other by road. If you choose the road option, it is 200 kms and takes around 7-8 hours to travel from Kathmandu to reach Pokhara. On the way you will pass through Malekhu, Mailung, Bimal Nagar, etc. Along the way, you can enjoy the view of the fast-flowing Trisuli River.
Another option is to travel by air, which will save time. The flight from Tribhuvan International Airport to Pokhara Airport takes approximately 30 minutes.
Day 4
Drive to Kande (1.5hrs), Trek to Pitum Deurali (2100m, 6hrs)
After enjoying our delicious breakfast, we embark on a drive to Kande, covering a distance of approximately 30 kilometers that is expected to take around one hour. Upon reaching Kande, we take a short break to rejuvenate. Following the break, we prepare to commence today's hike, a journey from Kande to Pitum Deurali. This trail is situated at an elevation of 2100 meters above sea level and is estimated to require about 6 hours to complete.
The initial phase of the trail involves an ascent, and as we progress, the terrain becomes relatively easier, leading us to Pathana. From there, the trail continues gradually, eventually leading to Deurali, where we will be spending the night.
Day 5
Trek to Low camp (2660m, 5hrs)
Today, we set out on our hike early in the morning, following a hearty breakfast. Our trek commences from Pitum Deurali and takes us to Low Camp, situated at an elevation of 2660 meters. The journey is expected to last approximately 5 hours.
The trail guides us through a dense forest adorned with oak, maple, and rhododendron trees. After roughly 3 hours of hiking, we arrive at Forest Camp, positioned to the southeast of the Annapurna range, offering breathtaking views on clear days. Proceeding from here, we continue along the trail towards Low Camp. As we advance, the landscape transforms, enveloping us in a landscape of more rhododendron trees, accompanied by trees cloaked in moss, lichen, and tree ferns. After another 2 hours of trekking, we finally reach Low Camp, where we will spend the night.
Day 6
Trek to High Camp (3550m, 4hrs)
After enjoying a wonderful night at an elevation of 2660m, we are now prepared to proceed towards High Camp, positioned at an elevation of 3550m. Following a satisfying warm breakfast, we commence our trek towards High Camp. After approximately 1 hour of hiking, we arrive at Badal Danda, a location that offers breathtaking views of Mardi Himal, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhre.
Once we pass Badal Danda, the trail continues along the Mardi Himal ridge. After an additional 2 hours of trekking, we finally reached High Camp. This will be our overnight resting place for the day.
Day 7
Visit viewpoint, Trek to Badal danda (3200m, 5hrs)
Early in the morning, well before sunrise, we embark on our journey to the Lower Viewpoint of Mardi Himal, situated at an elevation of 3900m. The trail persists along the ridge, encompassing some steep sections, but overall, the path is not challenging. Our main objective is to witness the magnificent sunrise view from this viewpoint. It's a moment of pure enchantment as we gaze upon the mountains bathed in the first rays of the sun, a sight that truly takes our breath away.
After reveling in the panoramic vistas, we make our way back to High Camp. Here, we take a brief respite before retracing our steps to Badal Danda, following the same trail that brought us up earlier.
Day 8
Trek to Sidhing (4hrs), Drive to Pokhara (800m, 4hrs)
Following our breakfast, we initiate our descent towards Sidhing, a journey that is expected to last approximately 4 hours. From Sidhing, our next step is to travel to Pokhara, a drive that will occupy an additional 4 hours. This day marks the conclusion of our hiking adventure.
As we make our way downward, the trail bifurcates at Low Camp. One path leads to Sidhing, while the other retracing our steps back to Pitum Deurali, following a distinct route. Once we reach Sidhing, we arrange for a jeep ride that will take us to our final destination, Pokhara.
Day 9
Rest day in Pokhara
Pokhara is one of the popular cities in Nepal. Despite being at an altitude of 800m, The mountains are only 20 kms air distance from here, and the city offers an amazing view of the Annapurna mountain range. There are many places for sightseeing and the city is a hub for different adventure activities. The Phewa Lakeside is also popular for the Night life. There are many pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants and hotels. As we have just completed the treacherous trek, we can rest the whole day and go out to experience the nightlife or you can opt out for sightseeing or participate in adventure activities like Paragliding, zip line, Bungy, Hikes or others.
Day 10
Drive to Kathmandu (7-8hrs)
Early in the morning after having our breakfast we will drive back to kathmandu leaving behind all the annapurna range mountains but carrying the beautiful memories of the trek. It will take around 7/8 hours to drive to reach kathmandu.
Day 11
Leisure/Departure, Transfer to Airport
If you have an Extra day and want to travel to more places in Nepal, we will assist to entertain your further stay. Or If you have a departing flight from Nepal, Our team will accompany you to the airport.
