The Chhapbhanjhyang hike is one of the best around Kathmandu Valley, covering about 12 kilometers. It starts in Pharping, goes through Hattiban Resort, Champadevi temple, Bhasmasur Danda, and Chap Bhanjyang, and ends in Machhegaon. The highest point is 2,491 meters. Chhapbhanjhyang is a hub connecting Champadevi, Chandragiri, and Machhegaon at 2,275 meters. It takes around one and a half hours to reach Machhegaon from there. The hike offers not only a physical challenge but also a chance to experience the natural beauty and cultural landmarks along the way.

Hike Duration: 6-7 hours

Max elevation: 2491m (Bhasmasur Danda)
After approximately 45 minutes of driving from Kathmandu, we will reach Pharping. From there, we will continue our hike, ascending all the way to Chhapbhanjyang and then descending to Machhegaon. After hiking for about 3 hours, we will arrive at Champadevi temple, situated at an altitude of 2,285 meters. Following a short break at Champadevi temple, we will resume our hike, and the trail will lead us towards Bhasmasur Danda, which marks the highest point in this hike at an altitude of 2,419 meters. From this point, we can enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and the Kathmandu Valley. After approximately 30 minutes of hiking, we will reach Chhapbhanjyang. Following a brief rest, we will descend towards Machhegaon
