Yala Peak 5500m is located in the beautiful Langtang Valley. The Peak is considered as one of the easiest trekking peaks in Nepal. Less technical and straightforward, Yala Peak Climbing is a perfect opportunity for beginner climbers to gain peak climbing experience.  From the summit, stunning views of popular mountain Shishapangma 8046m, Langtang Lirung 7245m, Dorje Lakpa 6990m, Naya Kanga Peak 5844m, Gangchempo 6,387m and many other snow capped peaks can be seen. Yala Peak Climbing is starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dunche – the starting point of our trek. We begin our trek from here passing through the dense forest of Rhododendron, Oaks, and Pines forest towards Kyangjin Gompa. After spending a day for acclimatization at Kyangjin Gompa our trail heads to Yala Base Camp. Once at the Basecamp, we quickly set up our camp and make necessary preparation for the climbing of the summit. Properly acclimatized and fully equipped we follow the trail led by our experienced climbing experts towards the summit of Yala Peak. Once on the top, we are rewarded with the stunning views of towering mountains within Langtang Valley including Langtang Lirung 7245m, Dorje Lakpa 6990m, Pemthang Karpo 6830m, Gangchenpo 6387m and across the border in Tibet rises the huge mass of Shishapangma 8046m. After achieving the summit we make a return journey back to Base Camp. From Base Camp, we descend all the down to Syabrubesi. Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel

Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by our representative. After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc), pick up your luggage and look for our representative with the Altitude Trails & Adventures display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to your hotel, nearby Thamel as per your requirement. Thamel has great food from all over the world, fabulous shopping and Durbar square with its several temples and markets are nearby Thamel. Overnight at the hotel

Day 2

Trip preparation, Meeting with guide

After breakfast, We will have a briefing session about the trip. Our guide will describe the trek, geographic structure, custom and traditions and about the daily events: trek duration, attractions and share other information. We will also assist you with the trekking gears and help you navigate around stores in Thamel to get them. After the preparation, we will do a little sightseeing around Kathmandu Durbar square and Thamel. If time permits, we will visit Pashupatinath temple to see aarati.

Day 3

Drive to Syfru Besi (1450m 7hrs)

On this day we will drive to Syabru Besi. As Syabru Besi is the gate way of langtang valley trek. Syabru Besi lies at an altitude of 1450m and it is a 6-7 hours drive away from Kathmandu. On the way to Syabru Besi we can enjoy the view of Trishuli river. At Dhunche we will check in to the Langtang National park. And in an hour, After reaching Syabri Besi we will check into our lodge and rest.

Day 4

Trek to Lama Hotel (2500m, 6hrs].

After having our breakfast we will start our trek. We will start our walk at our own pace as the trail goes through the forest. After walking through the uphill forest we will reach Bamboo at the elevation of 1850m. This will be our stop point for lunch. After lunch, we continue our trail. At the end of the day our stop point will be Lama hotel at the elevation of 2500m.

Day 5

Trek to Langtang Village (3430m, 6hrs)

This is our third day of the trek. Now the trails will be more fun with the stunning view of Mt.langtang lirung. We will walk through rhododendron and pine forests for approx. 3 hours and we will reach Ghoda tabela. Before reaching Ghoda Tabela we will cross some beautiful bridges over Langtang khola. At Ghoda Tabela, we will have our lunch. After lunch, we will follow a scenic trail to Langtang village (3430m). Just before the new langtang village, we will come across the old langtang village, which was destroyed in the 2015 earthquake. We have to cross the landslide area to reach the new langtang village. While crossing that landslide area, we can still see some remnants of the houses from old langtang village.

Day 6

Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3798m, 4hrs)

fter having our breakfast, we start our walk to our destination. Walking duration for today is likely 3-4 hours. On our way we can see stunning views of Mt.Ganchenpo and Mt.langtang lirung. After trekking for 3-4 hours we will reach our destination and have our lunch over there. On the remaining day, We will visit the Yak cheese factory, a glacial lake formed at the base of Langtanf lirung, and Kyanjin Monastery.

Day 7

Explore Tserko Ri peak (4970m, 6hrs)

On this day we wake up early in the morning and hike to Tserko ri which is at the elevation of 4970m. From there we can see the whole kyanjin gompa village and can witness mountains from closer. We will spend some time taking picture and taking rest. After that we will get back to kyanjin Gumpa. We will have enough time to rest, explore this beautiful village.

Day 8

Trek to Yala Base Camp [4600m, 5/6hrs)

Today, we will trek to Yala Peak base camp at an elevation of 4600 meters, which will take around 5-6 hours. Our journey to Yala Peak base camp continues on a rocky glacier route. After reaching Yala Peak base camp, we can enjoy the views of Yala Peak, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, and many surrounding mountains. We will also undergo some training in preparation for summiting Yala Peak on another day.

Day 9

Summit Yala Peak (5500m, 7/8hrs)

Today, we will be leaving early in the morning to summit Yala Peak at an elevation of 5500 meters. The trail to reach the summit is a little challenging, but it also offers stunning views of the mountains. After successfully climbing Yala Peak, we will be awestruck by the majestic view of the mighty Himalayas, including Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung, and other surrounding mountains. After spending some time taking in the scenery, we will descend back to the base camp. The entire trip can be completed in 7-8 hours.

Day 10

Trek to Langtang Village (3430m, 6hrs)

After the successful peak summit, we will now return to Langtang village, which will take around 6 hours. We will follow the same route we used in the earlier days. We will trek at our own pace without rushing, as most of the time it will be downhill.

Day 11

Trek to Lama Hotel (2500m, 5hrs)

This is our 11th day of the peak climbing, we will continue our trekking trail at your own pace without rushing. As most of the time it will be downhill. We will walk slowly back to Syabrubesi from Lama Hotel through Bamboo and cross some suspension bridges. It will take you around 5-6 hours.

Day 12

Trek to Syafrubesi (1450m, 6hrs)

On this day, we will maintain a leisurely pace as we proceed along the trail, without any sense of haste. The terrain for much of the day will mostly involve downhill stretches. Our journey will encompass a gradual descent from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi, passing through Bamboo and crossing several suspension bridges along the way. Today’s whole trekking can be completed with in 5-6 hours

Day 13

Drive to Kathmandu (7/8hrs)

Day 14

Leisure/ Departue, Transfer to Airport

This is the final/last day of the trek, we will drive back to Kathmandu and say bye to the beautiful Langtang valley trek but carrying the amazing six days trek memories with us. The drive back to Kathmandu will take 6-7 hours.
